About Jewish News

Britain’s Jewish community has never been more dynamic and diverse than it is today!

As the website of anglo-Jewry’s most read newspaper, Jewish News, www.jewishnews.co.uk celebrates the community’s unique vibrancy online – every single day of the week (apart from Shabbat and yom tovs!)

Established in 1997, Jewish News is a former Press Gazette free newspaper of the year and the only newspaper to exclusively serve the Jewish communities of Greater London – specifically Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Essex. Since 2020 it has been owned by the charity the Jacob Foundation (formerly known as the Kessler Foundation).

With a weekly distribution of 17,000 copies, Jewish News is at the heart of this thriving, educated and affluent community, providing a weekly mix of local, national and international Jewish news, features, sport and entertainment. Jewish News publishes feisty, hard-hitting exclusives of local, national and international importance.

Back in 2000, the newspaper launched www.totallyjewish.com, which became the leading web portal for British Jews. Its immediate impact on Jewish life in Britain was recognised when Hitwise, the organisation that monitors internet traffic, ranked it the number one lifestyle/religion site in the UK.

In May 2013, TJ evolved into www.jewishnews.co.uk!

The current site, rebuilt and designed in 2016 by RGB Media, offers daily national, international and regional breaking and developing news stories, columnists and blogs, celebrity news, gossip and interviews, cultural reviews, food, travel, sport and religious insight. There’s also business and finance news, investigative reports, videos, polls and competitions.

www.jewishnews.co.uk also keeps users constantly updated about ever-changing events in the Middle East, with reports from the people and politicians directly involved.

www.jewishnews.co.uk is all about interaction – so that’s enough about us… let’s hear more from you!

Whether it’s a news story, a photograph, a recipe, a joke or something else you’d like to share – we want to hear from you!
