Something for everyone at the Jewish Family Show and Expo!

Food, Glorious Food…..you’ll be humming  Lionel Bart’s beloved Oliver anthem at The Jewish Family Show & Expo because there will be a lot to eat.

Whether it’s a salt beef on rye from Reubens, or a filled bagel from Sharons, feeling hungry is not an option when it comes to Jewish events – and this is no exception.

From the spectacular culinary expertise of Jasmine Catering (Facebook.com/Jasmine-Catering-223435638043599/), which will
host a pop-up restaurant featuring a carvery, schwarma and salad bar and fast food favourites, to Reubens (reubensrestaurant.com), which
was established in 1973 and is loved for its special steamed salt beef.
Hadar, meanwhile, will have a chef on-site, preparing fresh dishes from Sushi Haven.

Hatov kosher food, wine and spirit suppliers (hatov.com) will also be there, tempting you with their ice creams, as will Uncle Doovy, although you may prefer to visit 32-34 Wines Limited (32-34wines.co.uk), who will share the stories of unique boutique Israeli vineyards and let you taste the produce or invite you to buy a case or two. We’ll also be cooking with Denise Phillips and Challah Mummy.

Of course, you may choose to spend your time at the show doing more than just eating – and there’s a lot a to do, so we’ll take you through it… starting with  the main stage where hosts Nick Ferrari and Rachel Riley will be keeping everyone entertained, introducing the acts and meeting the exhibitors and visitors.

As a celebration of what our community is all about, the show is an inspiring mix of zones divided into charity, education, retail, travel, lifestyle and simcha.

The who’s who of the charity world will be gathered to share their projects and plans, and meet you in their zone, while The Education  Zone hosted by Torah Action Life will offer everything from the academic to the energetic.

Meanwhile, PJ Library will be on the main stage with a performer bringing one of its top Jewish children’s books to life. There will also be loads of cool book related crafts for youngsters to try out as well as a free CD for every visitor to their stall. 

Be advised to bring cash or cards, as there are jewellers in the retail zone, among them Park Lane Jewellery and the much sought-after Michal Negrin.

All of them will be displaying alongside make-up and nail experts as
well as skincare  specialists Cetuem, who will advise on and demonstrate their products.

You can skip the gym on 17 March because The Laboratory (labspa.co.uk), @Burnrgym (burnrgym.co.uk) and DWA Fitness (dwafitness.co.uk) will offer workouts and information in the lifestyle zone, where you can consult about everything from Israel Bonds and pets to paintballing and currency conversion.

Whether you have questions about acquiring a passport from another country, or buying a fabulous new home in Israel from Ofer Investments, The Jewish Family Show and Expo can assist.

And for those in the midst of planning a big event and can’t wait until our show in November, there are representatives from event companies, stationary, photography and fashion – notably the gorgeous Rebecca Rinder of Hadley Bridal Collection, who will be on hand with suitable dresses to kit out eager batmitzvah shoppers.

Thanks to the planning of JLGB, the younger visitors won’t have a dull moment – Laser Quest, green screen and puppetry – and Flip Out also has
big plans for small children.
